Book Fair & Family Night Volunteer Sign Up : Click here to sign up

Friday April 27th, we will be hosting a family movie night. The movie which promotes kindness is based off of a New York Best Selling Childern’s Book about a boy named Auggie who was born with a facial deformity, which has kept him out of primary school for the first ten years of his life. Now he is going to start in the 5th grade and it will be a big challenge for Auggie to fit in with the other children when he looks so distinctly different.

But maybe it’s not so crazy to stand out from the crowd?

Concessions will be available for purchase. See flyer for additional information.

Shoparoo // Help your school earn money from places you already shop!

Have you heard of Shoparoo? No?! Well now you have!

Head to the app store to download the app, search for Blaney Elementary and help us get earning.

Here is some info taken directly from shoparoo.com

Shoparoo is the most hassle-free school fundraiser around. Forget cutting labels or selling door to door to raise money for schools. Shoparoo is a free app for iOS and Android phones that allows anyone to take pictures of their shopping receipts and earn cash donations for their schools!

Just snap a picture of your grocery receipt on your smartphone, and voila, you’ve made an instant cash donation! You can also take pictures of your non-grocery receipts (from clothing stores, electronics stores, restaurants, home improvement stores, etc.) for entries into Shoparoo’s cash donation sweepstakes that can reward a school up to $15,000! Parents, teachers and other supporters love Shoparoo because:

  • No official registration or school coordination is required
  • Parents are not forced to buy what they wouldn’t normally buy
  • The app makes earning money extremely quick and easy
  • Grade competitions make fundraising fun for students and parents

Tens of thousands of schools across the country are using Shoparoo to pay for new supplies, classroom and playground enhancements, field trips, tuition assistance and much more.

How much money can be raised with Shoparoo?

There is no limit to how much a school can raise with Shoparoo! The top earning schools last year earned thousands of dollars, just by encouraging everyone to take pictures of the day to day shopping receipts!

The more supporters you have at your school, the more you’ll earn. That’s why schools who had someone to lead the way and spread the word to the community saw these efforts reflected in their fundraising check from Shoparoo at the end of the school year. A school with roughly 50 active participants raise ~$1000 each year through Shoparoo!

Blaney Elementary Fun Run // Boosterthon // Feb. 22nd

Parents! This year’s spring fundraiser is the Blaney Fun Run! It’s a 9-day program that kicks off with a Pep Rally on Pep February 12th, 2018. Families will then gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps), and we’ll celebrate at the Fun Run on Fun Run February 22nd, 2018. With our big goal of raising $15,000 for academic enrichment, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run and make it more profitable, easier, and fun.

Students will also experience an amazing character theme, CASTLE QUEST! an English castle theme all about being brave and living with character. On their quest to regain Bravemore Castle, students will learn the “SIX VIRTUES of a TRUE HERO” from a cast of colorful characters.

Donations will go toward fundraising item(s) and to the entire 9-day experience. So please help our school by reaching out to sponsors. Also, all families are invited to come out and cheer on your student at the Fun Run! We will also need volunteers to help pass out water and mark laps. Please let us know if you are able! Thank you for your support!
